Jillian Segal, Director, Australian Securities Exchange Limited and National Australia Bank and Eric Mayne, Chief Supervision Officer of ASX Markets Supervision, Australian Securities Exchange recently joined Mallesons Engaging Women to launch the first event of 2010. Jillian and Eric shared their views on the recent ASX announcement requiring companies to set measures for the achievement of gender diversity and the implications for business.
Jillian is a Director of National Australia Bank and the Australian Stock Exchange Limited. Prior to this she held various positions including Chairman of the Banking and Financial Services Ombudsman, President of the Administrative Review Council, Commissioner and Deputy Chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) as well as being an Allen Allen & Hemsley (now Allens Arthur Robinson) partner specialising in corporate and environmental law.
Eric is the Chief Supervision Officer of ASX Markets Supervision, Australian Securities Exchange. Prior to this he has had over 35 years’ experience in government revenue regulation and law, including nearly 16 years as a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, approximately 5 of which as National Managing Partner.
