In celebration of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day in March 2011, the Melbourne centre hosted a lunch with Margaret Jackson, who spoke about her experience being a women in business for the last 30 years.
Margaret is Chairman of FlexiGroup Ltd and a Director of Billabong International Ltd. She is President of Australian Volunteers International and Advisory Board Chairman for the Salvation Army Southern Territory. In 2006 Margaret was awarded the Institute of Chartered Accountants Meritorious Service Award, for outstanding service to the profession. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Margaret has served as Chairman of Qantas, the Victorian Transport Accident Commission, Deputy Chairman of Southcorp Limited, and a director of The Australian and New Zealand Banking Corporation, Pacific Dunlop Limited, John Fairfax Holdings Limited and Telecom Australia. Margaret has served on a diverse range of charitable and not for profit entities over the last 30 years.
