Our paralegals predominately work within our Applied Legal Technology group delivering practical legal technology solutions to the firm and its clients and enjoys an excellent reputation.
Applied Legal Technology provides technology consulting services to lawyers and clients whilst utilising leading edge technology tools to manage document intensive or complex matters. We have teams located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Hong Kong and Brisbane, who have extensive industry experience, including degree qualified lawyers and IT professionals.
Information Analysts and Database Administrators also work in the Applied Technology team and project manage matters, co-ordinate and undertake information management services in a cost effective and efficient manner across all practice groups.
The paralegal team provides high quality, para professional service and support to the firm and its clients. They work directly with the firm's solicitors, senior associates and partners and externally with the firm's clients. Partners and lawyers involve paralegals as part of their team in delivering service to clients.
Paralegals assist all practice areas of the firm and work on a variety of tasks including:
legal research
due diligence preparation and support
discovery and trial support
prospectus verification
attendance at court (e.g. filing, reviewing files etc)
assisting with review and analysis of client materials
We provide comprehensive training in our technology tools and a structured seminar series conducted by the team and the firm to increase your knowledge both of the firm and the work performed within the team. You will receive regular feedback from the solicitors on your performance and will also be invited to participate in the firm's mentoring program. These initiatives are designed to enhance opportunities to progress within the firm.
