Mallesons Privacy Statement for Prospective Employees

Mallesons and its associated entities are subject to the Privacy Act (including the National Privacy Principles) which requires us to give you certain details about how we deal with your personal information. In connection with your application for employment with Mallesons or any of its associated entities, personal information about you (including, unless you tell us otherwise, sensitive information):

• Will be collected from you and from third parties (such as referees)
• May be used to determine whether to make you an offer of employment for the position applied for, to assess your suitability for any future position that becomes available and for the purposes of establishing and analysing recruitment trends over time
• May be disclosed between Mallesons and its associated entities
• May be disclosed to external service providers on a confidential basis for management and administrative tasks such as maintaining a contact database or reviewing our recruitment processes.

If you fail to provide information we ask for, it will make it difficult for us to properly and fully consider any application you make for employment with us.

You may request access to information we hold about you at any time, but in some circumstances we can refuse to provide access under the Privacy Act.
