Mallesons has received a record number of nominations at this year’s ALB Hong Kong Law Awards for the firm, including a first-time nomination for the prestigious Hong Kong Law Firm of the Year award. The firm has also been named a finalist for Equity Deal of the Year: Real Gold IPO; M&A Deal of the Year: Nomura-Lehman Brothers (Asian business) acquisition; Construction Law Firm of the Year and Dispute Resolution Law Firm of the Year. Chief Executive Partner Robert Milliner says the firm’s nominations are recognition of the growing reputation of Mallesons’ Hong Kong office and the firm’s 20 year presence in Asia. “We are particularly pleased to be a finalist in the Hong Kong Law Firm of the Year category, given the number of respected firms operating locally,” Mr Milliner said. Managing Partner, International, Nicola Wakefield Evans says Mallesons’ Asia practice has been performing strongly this year with key award wins such as Regional Law Firm of the Year at the 2009 IFLR Asia Awards. “Mallesons has acted on a number of significant deals in Asia over the last year and it is an honour to be recognised for our work on these,” Ms Wakefield Evans said.
