Mallesons has acted for the underwriter, Morgan Stanley, on Photon Group’s $115 million capital raising. Photon Group is looking to raise $87.9 million via a one-for-two rights issue to shareholders and has raised $26.6 million via an institutional placement, both fully underwritten by Morgan Stanley. Mallesons’ lead Partner on the transaction, David Eliakim, says the team worked closely with both the client and Photon Group. “One of the key elements of the capital raising was securing commitments from the major institutional investors upfront to participate in the entitlement offer. We assisted in structuring and documenting these arrangements,” Mr Eliakim said. Mallesons has been involved in a wide range of recent equity raisings including Santos ($3bn); Asciano ($2bn); Stockland ($1.5bn); BlueScope Steel ($1.4bn) and NAB ($3bn). |
