Mallesons Stephen Jaques has been named Regional Law Firm of the Year for the sixth time at the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Asia Awards 2010. The win reaffirms Mallesons' ongoing strength and performance in the region. IFLR described Mallesons as "one of Australia's strongest law firms" and made note of the firm's "strong offices in China". A number of deals on which Mallesons advised were also highlighted on the evening including the Opes Prime Restructuring, Victorian Desalination Plant, Lumena IPO and SMHL Securitisation Fund 2009-3. Mallesons Chief Executive Partner Robert Milliner said: "Winning this award for the sixth time is a great achievement and aligns with the firm's vision of being a leading legal services provider. Last year we celebrated 20 years in Asia and we are very proud of our continued growth and success in the region”. IFLR’s winning firms are recognised for innovation and complexity of their cross-border work, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets and finance transactions. In the 2010 edition of IFLR 1000, Mallesons received more first-tier rankings than any other Australian law firm. The guide recognised Mallesons for being the firm "responsible for bringing a number of the year's biggest and trickiest deals to market" and said "Clients value the firm for the quality of its people". |
