Mallesons Stephen Jaques’ partner David Olsson has transferred from Melbourne to the firm's Beijing office to develop Mallesons' financial services and corporate practice in China.

David is a capital markets and securities specialist with significant commercial experience, having been one of the firm's Managing Partners for several years and prior to that, National Practice Team Leader of the Banking and Finance Group. He has also been the Partner in Charge of the firm's Melbourne and Hong Kong offices and has practiced in London, Hong Kong and the Middle East.

The transfer continues the strengthening of Mallesons’ presence in China in recent months. In December, Mallesons received permission to operate in Shanghai under its own brand and in January, finance specialist Minny Siu was appointed as partner in the Hong Kong office.
