Mallesons Stephen Jaques has bolstered it’s London practice with the arrival of senior M&A partner, Robert Hanley. Robert has extensive experience in providing mergers & acquisitions and securities law advice to a broad range of clients, including leading corporations, investment banks and financial institutions.
Mallesons’ Chief Executive Partner, Robert Milliner, said the appointment will enhance the firm’s M&A capabilities in markets across the UK, Europe and Asia.
“Our clients are continuing to pursue global investments and operations and by continuing to evolve our international capabilities we are able to better service their needs,” Mr Milliner said.
Robert Hanley said he looked forward to his new role because of Mallesons’ commitment “to growing its international practice in Europe, as well as across Asia.”
Mallesons’ Managing Partner, International, Nicola Wakefield Evans, commented that “Robert’s deep understanding of the UK market, his English law capability and his broad practice experience will both enhance our M&A practice capabilities in the UK and Europe and contribute to the strong ties we see between Asian and European M&A and capital markets activity.”
Mallesons also announced that Hong Kong based Banking & Finance partner, Adrienne Showering, will be transferring to the London office effective 1 July 2009.
Robert and Adrienne will join the team of London partner in charge, Rowan Russell, who is recognised as a leader in debt capital markets as well as asset and structured finance and general syndicated and corporate lending.
