Recruitment Process
Mallesons advertises all current vacancies on our website. Using our online application system, you can view current vacancies for all centres and groups in the firm.
Suitably qualified candidates should apply by creating a profile and submitting an application online. The application process takes about 5-10 minutes and you will be asked to create a username and password to complete the process. You are able to attach up to three documents to your application. Once your application has been submitted, this will be reviewed by the resourcing team and the hiring manager, and you will be informed as soon as possible of the status of your application.
When recruiting, our Shared Services groups generally have a 2-step interview process where initial interviews are conducted by the direct supervisor and a member of their team or the resourcing team, and second round interviews by the relevant manager and a representative of the People & Development team. Interviews employ behaviourally based interview techniques and are kept relatively informal, designed to get to know the candidate in a personal sense, as well as assessing your credentials and experience and giving you an opportunity to form a detailed picture of the role, the team and the firm.
New starters spend part of their first week with Mallesons in our induction program, where you learn about the history and profile of the firm, receive training on our systems, and enjoy a welcome lunch with managers and other new starters.
