Mallesons Stephen Jaques has announced the appointment of Ms Kim O’Connell as a partner in the Intellectual Property Group.
Kim joins the firm as a specialist in intellectual property, with a particular focus on patent validity and patent infringement advice and litigation. Kim was formerly a partner with Andersen Legal.
In announcing the appointment, Maurice Gonsalves, Head of the Intellectual Property/IT practice for the firm said: “Kim joins an Intellectual Property team which has unparalleled depth of expertise across all key areas of IP law, including copyright, patents and trade marks/brands. With extensive experience in biotechnology and patent litigation, Kim’s expertise will further enhance our well-established practice in this growing area. We are delighted to have her on board.”
