Mallesons consolidates leadership in Asia Pacific

Mallesons Stephen Jaques recently received the most number of top tier rankings in the Australia section of the 2002 edition of Global Counsel 3000.

The firm ranked in the top tier of 14 out of 21 practice areas covered in Global Counsel 3000.

In another leading survey, Asia Pacific Legal 500, released soon after, the firm was acknowledged for its ‘top flight talent’ and recognised as a leading firm in 17 of 21 categories.

“These surveys reinforce our position in the region and reflect the judgment of the market. We are pleased with the results of both these surveys and being rated, once again, as the highest ranking law firm in Australia,” said Tony D’Aloisio, Chief Executive Partner, Mallesons Stephen Jaques.

“Our focus will continue to be on Australia with a strong commitment to building and enhancing our Asia Pacific capability enabling us to better service our clients’ regional needs.”

Additionally, recognition was also given to Mallesons’ newly expanded Hong Kong office by Global Counsel 3000 and Asia Pacific Legal 500. The Hong Kong office was one of few regional centres of Australian firms to be recognised in a range of practice areas including banking and finance, securitisation, projects, construction, dispute resolution, and IT and telecommunications.

The recent AsiaLaw Profiles survey reported that Mallesons’ expansion in Asia was supported by the firm’s experienced partners working across Asia Pacific and committed to replicating in the region, the top quality work undertaken for clients in Australia.
