Mallesons Stephen Jaques has been announced as the top performing legal adviser in the CONNECT 4 - 2002- IPO Survey.
The survey that measures The Australian Stock Exchange activity stated, “Mallesons Stephen Jaques participated in the most floats in 2002, with a total of eight new listings which sought to raise $1,530.50m”.
The firm also listed four of the most significant floats in the survey’s top eight IPOs (Initial Public Offers). This reveals that Mallesons Stephen Jaques leads the field in the Banking, Finance and Property industries.
The survey showed that half of the $4,910.32m sought on the stock market in 2002 was in Banking, Finance and Property at $2,793.20m, and Mallesons Stephen Jaques led the developments in this industry by $308.5m from Allens.

The year 2002 saw 70 companies list (or waiting to list) on the Australian Stock Exchange and these companies sought to raise a total of $4,910.32m. This was a slight improvement over the IPO activity levels of 2001,comparing 54 successful floats in 2001, which sought to raise $1,334.58m.
