Mallesons Stephen Jaques has gained top honours in Project Finance rankings for the first half of 2003.
According to analysis by Dealogic ProjectWare, Mallesons is positioned at number one in Australasia, holding greater than a 35% share of the project finance market, with nine deals valued at US$913 million signed and funded during the period 1 January - 30 June 2003.
Mallesons was ranked second in the Asia Pacific region, with a greater than 8% share of this particular market.
Mallesons’ project finance partner Peter Doyle said the firm’s top deals so far this year include the Western Sydney Orbital Tollway and the refinancing and capital restructure of Perth International Airport. Additionally, Mallesons’ lawyers advised Manila North Tollways on the North Luzon Expressway project.
