Mallesons’ lawyers recognised by global competition review as world’s best

Mallesons Stephen Jaques’ Competition partners, Roger Featherston and Dave Poddar, have recently been nominated by their peers as being amongst ‘the world’s leading Competition lawyers,’ according to global research conducted by Law Business Research.

The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers and Economists has drawn on months of fresh, independent research, to develop a highly selective list of lawyers and economists who are considered to be pre-eminent in the field.

Head of Competition, Tony O’Malley, said: “These nominations reflect the expertise of Roger and Dave in particular. In addition, the commitment of our practice teams across all of the firm’s offices, in Australia, London and Hong Kong has positioned the firm well to work on transactions of increasing complexity. We envisage that the next twelve months will be an exciting and challenging time with the Competition practice having an increasingly international focus.”

Mallesons recently boosted its Competition capability with the appointment of Kathleen Harris, who joined the firm as special counsel. Kathleen previously worked in the US as a deputy bureau chief of the New York Antitrust Bureau.
