Mallesons Stephen Jaques Wins Australasian Law Firm Of The Year

Mallesons Stephen Jaques has been named Chambers and Partners’ Australasian Law Firm of the Year, announced recently at the Chambers Awards 2004.

The Chambers Awards’ judging panel comprised in-house counsel from corporations based in the major jurisdictions around the world. They reached their decision by assessing each firm from the client’s point of view.

The Australasian award was presented by Cherie Booth QC at the London Hilton with over 1,000 people present.

“All the firms shortlisted belong to the international elite,” commented Michael Chambers, publisher, Chambers and Partners.

Tony D’Aloisio, chief executive partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, said: “This award is testament to the firm’s unwavering commitment to the needs of our clients. We are grateful to them for the confidence they have shown in us. Our focus will continue to be on enhancing our international and regional capabilities so we continue to serve the cross-border and multi-jurisdictional requirements of all of our clients.”

During this year Mallesons has been awarded International Financial Law Review’s (IFLR) Regional Law Firm of the Year as well as FinanceAsia magazine’s Australian Financial Law Firm of the Year.

For the second consecutive year, the firm was also nominated as INSTO magazine’s Law Firm of the Year and late last year the firm was named CFO magazine’s Corporate Legal Services Firm of the Year.
