Mallesons Stephen Jaques has been named a winner of the prestigious US College of Law Practice Management InnovAction Awards - the only firm to achieve this twice.
Mallesons received the award for PeopleFinder, an innovation that has been at the forefront of its ClientFirst program.
PeopleFinder enables Mallesons staff members to determine the availability or whereabouts of a colleague using either their desktop or a Blackberry. It has led to more than 10,000 calls per month being rerouted from voice mail to a person who can assist.
Rupert Hanson, Systems Development Manager at Mallesons and architect of PeopleFinder said he was delighted that the hard work of those involved had been recognised. “We are honoured to have received this prestigious award, amidst some very fierce international competition. It furthers Mallesons’ reputation for developing creative, innovative technology that delivers better service to clients.”
The same team at Mallesons won an InnovAction award in 2007 and the Legal IT Forum “best internal IT process” award in 2006 for its TalentNet recruitment system.
The InnovAction Awards is in its 4th year and seeks to recognise law firms looking to do things differently or breaking the mould to improve client experience and customer service.
The awards will be presented on Saturday, 13 September 2008 at a special session to be held during the Annual Meeting of the College of Law Practice Management in Chicago, Illinois.
