Mallesons Stephen Jaques has been announced as the 2008 CFO Corporate Legal Services Firm of the Year. This is the second consecutive year, and the fourth time overall, that the firm has received this honour.
The CFO Awards recognise the achievements of the very best in Australian finance over the last 12 months, acknowledging not only chief financial officers and their teams, but also the treasury teams, bankers, lawyers, consultants and strategists who ensured that the deals took place.
Mallesons’ Chief Executive Partner, Robert Milliner, said: “The annual CFO awards are among the most prestigious and keenly contested within the financial and professional services sectors. To win Corporate Legal Services Firm of the Year for the fourth time is an outstanding achievement.
“The legal services sector is becoming increasingly competitive and we are experiencing rapid growth. Regardless of the phase in the economic cycle, we continue to work hard to provide our clients with sound commercial solutions and excellent legal advice. This award is a true testament to the firm’s commitment and hard work.”
The CFO Awards are judged on significant client outcomes, service delivery, financial performance, staff initiatives and community programs. At today’s presentation, the editor of CFO Magazine, Kate Mills, said: “Our Corporate Legal Services Firm of the Year edged ahead in a few areas – one, its depth of legal expertise, two, its response to client feedback and three, it’s ability to service clients in Asia.”
Mallesons’ win comes after a series of other awards this year, including the ANZ-BRW Private Business Awards, Who's Who Legal and the ILO Client Choice award.
