Chris is a partner in the Canberra office of King & Wood Mallesons, where he specialises in commercial, property and development projects as well as construction, planning and environment law. Chris has established a significant reputation in the business and government community, advising in relation to major property developments and commercial matters, participating in significant and complex transactions and conducting seminars on a variety of property, construction, leasing and planning and environment topics.
For construction projects he focuses on the front end of construction developments, drafting and negotiating contracts and capital works agreements and the related suite of consultancy and tender documentation. He works closely with clients' construction and project management teams in shaping documentation to address project specific needs.
Chris has been involved in many significant and high profile property developments (commercial, retail and residential) as well as major property acquisitions and disposals. He has a leading role in contributing to the ACT property and legal industries through his participation in many Property Council of Australia and Law Society committees. He often heads submissions and delegations to government advocating reform and pressing the concern of the property and legal sectors. In 2002 he was awarded the ACT Property Professional of the Year Award.
