- In the Queensland privatisations, David acted for Queensland Investment Corporation in its acquisition of Queensland Motorways Limited, and for a consortium that was the under bidder for Port of Brisbane.
- David acted for a bidder for NSW lotteries, when it was privatised.
- David has extensive experience negotiating long term PPP concession agreements with Australian state governments. He has acted for the consortiums (and others) bidding for infrastructure and other concessions for over 20 years.
- He led the team advising the successful bidders for projects such as the Clem 7 tunnel (Brisbane); EastLink (Melbourne); Westlink M7 Motorway, M2 Motorway and Eastern Distributor (Sydney).
- David has also advised bidders for concession based infrastructure projects in India (airports) and Singapore.
- David also acts widely in the private M&A area, including trade sales and purchases. On the sell side, these include recent transactions in the mining services; packagings; road maintenance and industrial products industries. On the buy side, these include recent transactions in the food, packaging, engineering and mining services industries.
- David is currently advising on two joint ventures in India (engineering and food industries) and on a wide range of commercial agreements in the industrial sector.
- David also advises on equity investments, particularly infrastructure investments through consortiums, joint ventures and other equity ownership structures.
