 Professional Biography

 

  • Hayden Flinn is a Partner in the Corporate practice of our Hong Kong office. He has advised on a wide variety of corporate matters in the Asia Pacific region across a range of jurisdictions including Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and the People's Republic of China. Hayden's practice also involves a range of dealings with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

    In addition to his private practice experience, Hayden has performed a number of in-house counsel roles, including Joint General Counsel of Reach Ltd (the global connectivity joint venture between Telstra Corporation Limited and PCCW Ltd).

  • Asia Financial Holdings Limited in respect of the HK$2.4 billion general offer by Givemore Investments Limited
  • Telstra in its acquisition of PCCW’s remaining 40 percent interest in Hong Kong CSL, the redemption of a US$750 million convertible note originally issued by PCCW to Telstra in February 2001 and the issue of a US$190 million mandatory converting note by PCCW to Telstra.
  • Telstra and HK CSL on the Telecommunications (Amendment) Bill 2002, including preparing committee stage amendments for consideration by the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  • Acting for Kingboard Chemical Holdings Limited on a HK$7,270,000,000 bridge loan facility to finance two takeovers.
  • Acting for Telstra Corporation Limited on the restructure of Reach Ltd's USD1.2 billion syndicated term loan facility.
