 Professional Biography

 

  • John Edstein is a partner in the Sydney office of King & Wood Mallesons where he specialises in superannuation, taxation and life insurance. John became a partner of the firm in 1990. From 2006 to 2011, John was Practice Team Leader for the firm's Tax and Superannuation Practice.

    John's practice includes:

    • trust, regulatory and tax advice for superannuation funds
    • trust and tax advice for managed schemes and trusts, and
    • tax and regulatory advice for life companies in relation to policies, policyholders, management of statutory funds and distribution matters.

    John is a published author and a frequent public speaker for universities, financial institutions and industry associations.
