Julie Wright is a partner in the Construction practice in our Sydney office. Julie specialises in construction and engineering law dispute resolution. Julie's experience includes litigation, arbitration and adjudication as well as various forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Julie advises both contractor and principal clients on a wide range of projects. She has acted for both claimants and respondents in preparing and defending claims under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW).
Julie is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at the University of Sydney. She lectures an undergraduate course in Contracts Formation and Management at the University of Sydney. Julie is also a Grade 3 Arbitrator with the Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators Australia.
In ALB's Guide to Construction Law 2009, clients said Julie was "excellent at disputes, as she offered practical and pragmatic advice that delivered outcomes", and Julie was recommended for construction disputes in the Legal 500 2010.
