  • Ken Lord is a partner in the Sydney office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques where he practices in income taxation law. Ken's practice focuses on the taxation aspects of banking and structured finance transactions. Ken has a particular emphasis on cross-border repo and hybrid financing transactions, debt/equity issues, thin capitalisation rules, infrastructure project financing and asset financing.

  • Acting on chattel and real property lease transactions for Allco Finance (including Sydney Airport Centre, Record Property Trust and other asset financings) and other arrangers
  • Advising on several tax issues arising from tax audits of two leading investment banks
  • Acting for Macquarie Bank as arranger of the Western Sydney Orbital tollway project and bidding for the Lane Cove Tunnel project
  • Advising on the development of financial products for Deutsche Bank, Macquarie Bank, Allco Finance and other financial institutions.
