  • Louis Chiam is a Partner in the Melbourne office of King & Wood Mallesons, where he specialises in infrastructure, energy and resources, climate change and major projects.

    Louis has experience in energy and infrastructure projects, energy markets and restructuring, acquisitions and divestments, electricity and gas supply contracts, carbon finance, carbon advisory and utility regulation.

    Louis acts for a range of Australian and international corporations and government entities.  Louis has been named the Best Lawyers' 2013 Melbourne Climate Change "Lawyer of the Year" and is ranked as one of Australia's leading energy lawyers, including by Chambers Global Guide 2009 as a “Band 1 - energy and resources” lawyer and by PLC Which Lawyer? 2009 as “Highly recommended" in Energy.
