Ilana Atlas

Ilana Atlas, Group Executive, People & Performance, Westpac Banking Corporation, returned to Mallesons for an intimate dinner with Senior Associates and their clients. Ilana shared her views on women taking control of their careers, including financial and emotional independence, taking risks and seizing opportunities.

Ilana joined Westpac in 2000 as Group Secretary and General Counsel, followed by her current role as Group Executive, People & Performance, to which she was appointed to in 2003. Ilana is responsible for all human resources strategy and management, and is also responsible for stakeholder relations including internal and external communications and Westpac's strategy in relation to corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Prior to joining Westpac, Ilana was a partner at Mallesons, practising as a corporate lawyer. She held a number of managerial roles in the firm including Managing Partner and Executive Partner, People & Information.
