Ashley Black is a Partner in our Sydney office where he specialises in commercial litigation with an emphasis on the Corporations Act and regulatory matters.
Ashley has acted in numerous regulatory inquiries conducted by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission. These include licensing matters and allegations of breach of the continuous disclosure provisions, market manipulation, insider trading and breach of the takeover provisions. Ashley has also conducted the defence of criminal proceedings brought by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission in Corporations Act matters.
Ashley is one of two individuals listed in the top band for Dispute Resolution in Chambers Global Guide 2008 and 2009. He is highly recommended in the area of Dispute Resolution by PLC Which lawyer? Yearbook 2009, IFLR 1000 2009 and is also nominated in Legal Media Group's 2008 Guide to the World's Leading Litigation Lawyers. Ashley has been listed in Best Lawyers International 2008 and 2009.
