Professional biography
Ann Newbrun is a Special Counsel in the Sydney office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Ann specialises in providing commercial and regulatory advice to the general insurance sector, including insureds, insurers, intermediaries and industry bodies.
Ann’s experience includes advising on the implications of new legislation and regulation, establishment issues, the sale and distribution of insurance, including setting up distribution arrangements and joint ventures, and promotional campaigns. In doing so, she has advised extensively on the application of the financial services regulation and compliance with insurance specific legislation.
Ann also advises on insurance coverage issues which involves drafting and settling insurance products. She has undertaken insurance program reviews and advised on other risk management facilities.
