Professional biography
Betsy is a Taxation partner in our Sydney office, where she specialises in tax-effective structured finance transactions and cross-border aircraft and ship leasing. She has extensive experience in M&A transactions, particularly the establishment and structuring of funds in Australia, Europe and the United States.
Betsy-Ann has Australian and international property trust experience, including advising on the acquisition of property assets utilising the REIT regimes in the US, Europe and Singapore.
She also has experience advising on the acquisition of seed assets for wholesale funds, jurisdictional requirements in relation to management arrangements, sell downs and arrangements for efficient exits from investments, foreign hybrid rules and tax issues relevant to Australian investors.
