Professional biography
David O'Donnell specialises in environment and planning law and is the head of the Environment and Planning practice. He currently acts for major corporates, developers, banks, investors and government on a wide range of environment and planning work.
The nature of work undertaken by the Environment and Planning group includes:
- The establishment of new projects and infrastructure development involving complex environmental, planning and native title issues.
- Environmental, planning and native title aspects of mergers and acquisitions work in the areas of mining and infrastructure.
- The purchase, sale and redevelopment of contaminated land.
- A broad range of environment, planning and valuation litigation in the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales.
David has been nominated as a leading individual in Environment by PLC Which Lawyer? 2009. He has also been recommended in Environment by Chambers Global Guide 2009 who says he is "an integral part of the Sydney office".
