Professional biography
Damien Richard is a partner in the Sydney office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques where he specialises in managed investments, structured investment products, acquisitions and divestitures in the financial services industry, stockbroking and financial services licensing.
Damien has been involved in the development of many unlisted structured investment products, and acted in the listing some of the first "exchange traded funds" on the Australian Stock Exchange. He also has experience in advising securities dealers, including stockbrokers and offshore based dealers establishing operations in Australia.
Damien has considerable experience in advising on the recent Financial Services Reform legislation, including in preparing submissions to government on the legislation and assisting clients transition to the new regime.
