Professional biography
James Fahey is a Partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice in the Melbourne office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. He specialises in corporate, mergers and acquisitions and resources law matters, both nationally and internationally.
His work encompasses major projects, commercial advice, acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures and other business structures and negotiating and drafting major commercial contracts. The latter includes major supply and outsourcing contracts, transport and logistics and procurement contracts. James recently acted for BG on its acquisition of interests in Queensland Gas.
James is recognised in a number of international legal directories as a leading resources and energy lawyer, including The Asia Pacific Legal 500 2008/2009 and Chambers Global Guide 2009. APL 500 2008/09 said James "boasts impressive oil and gas expertise".
