Professional biography
Kate Mills is a partner in our Sydney Dispute Resolution Group where she represents clients in a broad range of commercial disputes, taxation matters and corporate regulatory inquiries.
Kate’s practice has a particular emphasis upon matters involving the Corporations Act (principally corporate governance, schemes and takeovers, securities regulation) and related corporate advisory work. As part of that practice, Kate regularly acts for a range of listed companies, major banks and financial intermediaries in connection with ASIC and ASX investigations into market misconduct, conflicts of interest, continuous disclosure, and directors or officers duties. Kate also regularly represents clients in Takeovers Panel matters.
Kate is the author of sections of a Lexis-Nexis looseleaf service on directors duties and ASIC investigations. Kate is also the co-ordinator of the Mallesons Human Rights Law Group.
