Professional biography
Lee McIntosh is a legal consultant in the Perth office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques where she specialises in providing advice on environmental law and native title issues.
Lee has over 10 years experience in environmental law and has provided legal advice on the environmental and native title issues associated with many major mining, petroleum and land development projects (including the Gorgon Gas Development), and advised clients on all aspects of environmental compliance and environmental due diligence.
Lee has a Masters degree in Environmental Law from the University of Calgary, Canada, and a Bachelor of Laws (first class honours) and Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) from Murdoch University, Western Australia. She has lectured and tutored in environmental law for many years, and written several papers and given many presentations on aspects of environmental law, including in the increasingly important area of climate change/carbon law.
Lee has established good working relationships with environmental regulators (having been on several regulatory stakeholder committees), the conservation sector and environmental consultants.
In 2008 Lee was ranked as a leading WA Environmental Lawyer in WA by the ALB.
