Professional biography
Laurence (Larry) Iffla is a partner in our Perth office where he specialises in commercial property and development matters, stamp duty and other property related tax advice. He also works in corporate and commercial law, particularly for the structuring of business and property acquisitions.
Larry acts for a number of leading Australian property owners and overseas investors. He is experienced in major property acquisitions and office and shopping centre developments and leasings, with particular expertise in Foreign Investment Review Board work and property trust matters. He also works in the international hotel, resort development and retirement village areas and has extensive experience with Strata Titles legislation. His work has included a number of coastal developments and marinas.
Larry is involved in joint venture negotiations, company takeovers and reorganisations as well as general contract preparation and commercial advising. He acted on the sale of the BHP Kwinana site and business to Fremantle Port Authority and LandCorp. He also worked on the Burswood Casino and InterContinental Hotels Group hotels joint venture at Burswood.
