Professional biography
Peter Cook is a Partner in our Sydney office where he specialises in mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, capital raisings and private equity. He also regularly advises on general corporate, security law and listing rule matters. He is also relationship partner for a number of the firm's significant clients.
Peter brings to his practice investment banking experience having worked for the corporate finance section of a major investment bank. He also regularly deals with financial intermediaries, investment banks and venture capital organisations.
Peter is an elected member of the executive board of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. He has been nominated as a leading individual in Capital Markets - Equity by APL 500 2008/2009, in Mergers and Acquistions by IFLR 1000 2009 and in Private Equity/Venture Capital by PLC Which Lawyer? 2009. Peter is also recommended in the 2009 edition of the Guide to the World's Leading Capital Markets Lawyers produced by Euromoney's Legal Media Group.
