Professional biography
Philip Ward is a partner in our Sydney office where he specialises in regulatory and business law for insurers and intermediaries. Prior to joining Mallesons Stephen Jaques Philip was the Principal Legal Executive for the NZI Group in Australia.
Philip acts for a number of major insurers and other clients of the Firm engaged in insurance business. Philip also acts for overseas legal firms with clients who have Australian insurance operations. Philip’s practice involves substantial advice work and negotiating and settling various commercial agreements including outsourcing and distribution arrangements. Philip has undertaken general and targeted insurance program reviews for some of the Firm’s major clients. Philip’s practice also encompasses advising on, drafting and settling insurance products and other risk management facilities and promotional and compliance materials.
