Professional biography
Renae Lattey is a partner in the Competition practice in the Melbourne office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. She specialises in regulatory and commercial telecommunications law and competition law.
Renae advises Telstra on network access, interconnection and roaming arrangements with access seekers, large commercial contracts and numerous other regulatory and commercial issues such as operational separation and T3. While working for Mallesons, Renae has acted for a major telecommunications market entrant in Singapore in its dealings with the regulator and interconnection and access disputes with SingTel. More recently, Renae has been involved in advising on regulatory issues in the gas and electricity sectors.
Prior to joining Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Renae worked for Clifford Chance in London, where she specialised in international and UK telecommunications regulation and access matters. During this time she was also seconded as a policy adviser to the UK telecommunications regulator. She also worked for Bell Gully in New Zealand, advising on that country’s communications regulatory environment.
