Professional biography
Robert Jackson is a partner in the Brisbane office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques where he specialises in energy and resources, capital fundraising, sales and acquisitions of businesses and shares, corporate reconstructions (including those of government owned corporations and their subsidiaries) and refinancing, joint ventures and takeovers.
Robert drafted and negotiated the $1 billion coal supply contract for Tarong Energy with Pacific Coal for the existing 1400 MW Tarong Power Station and the 450 MW Tarong North extension. He acted for the Gladstone Port coal exporters in their arrangements with the Gladstone Port Authority for the funding of a port expansion to include a third berth.
Robert is a regular speaker for educational and professional bodies such as Macquarie University, the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, the Taxation Institute of Australia and the Securities Institute of Australia.
