Professional biography
Rowan Russell is a Partner in the London office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Prior to moving to London at the end of 2004, Rowan practised as a Partner in the Banking and Finance Team in Sydney and prior to that, he was an Executive Partner (responsible for People) and a Managing Partner (based in the Melbourne office).
He is a capital markets specialist who regularly acts for Australia's largest corporations and arrangers in accessing the domestic and international capital markets. Rowan advises regularly in relation to all aspects of the capital markets including, in particular:
- Listed and unlisted securities in the domestic and international capital markets including domestic and international bonds
- Kangaroo issues, hybrid securities and other forms of structured securities, and
- Securitisation.
In addition to his capital markets specialisation, Rowan also has a practice in the areas of asset and structured finance and general syndicated and corporate lending.
