Professional biography
Rowan Russell is a Partner in the Sydney office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Rowan was the Partner in Charge of the London office for five years before resuming practice in the banking and finance team in Sydney in February 2010.
Rowan previously practised in Melbourne and between 1996 and 2001 was a Managing Partner and Executive Partner based in Melbourne.
He is a capital markets specialist who regularly acts for Australia's largest corporations and arrangers in accessing the domestic and international capital markets. Rowan advises regularly in relation to all aspects of the capital markets including, in particular:
- Listed and unlisted securities in the domestic and international capital markets including domestic and international bonds
- Kangaroo issues, hybrid securities and other forms of structured securities, and
- Securitisation.
In addition to his capital markets specialisation, Rowan also has a practice in the areas of asset and structured finance and general syndicated and corporate lending.
