Professional biography
Yuen-Yee Cho is a Partner in the Banking and Finance team in the Sydney office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. She specialises in acquisition financings, project and infrastructure finance and general corporate finance.
Yuen-Yee is also a qualified English lawyer. She advised CVC on a major restructure of the facilities for the Stella group (2009), advising infrastructure clients such as Sydney Airport and Broadcast Australia on major refinancings in 2009, advising the banks on the restructure of the $4.2bn leveraged facilities for PBL Media (2008) and advising CHAMP on the financing of its acquisition of Alleasing (2008). Yuen-Yee also acted for KKR in financing its A$1.8bn acquisition of BIS Cleanaway (2006), its subsequent Cleanaway exit (2007) and for the private equity consortium in its bid for Coles (2006).
Yuen-Yee has been ranked a leading practitioner in Banking & Finance/Acquisition Finance in Chambers' Global Guide to the Legal Profession 2009, Best Lawyers in Australia 2008-09, PLC Which Lawyer, Asian Legal Business's Legal Who's Who, Guide to the World's Leading Banking Lawyers 2009 and the International Who's Who of Project Finance Lawyers 2009.
