Sarah Harrison is a partner in our Perth office where she practices commercial dispute resolution. Her focus is on professional risks including crisis management, health and safety law, insurance claims and advisory and commercial litigation.

Sarah has advised and appeared in various courts (including in expedited matters) on behalf of insurers, solicitors, engineers, accountants, local governments, mining clients and several of Australia’s largest corporations. Sarah spent a period of time working for premier litigation firms in the United Kingdom and Melbourne gaining further experience in a wide range of commercial litigation and insurance matters.

Sarah acted for BHP Billiton in relation to health and safety accidents in 2000 (Orebody 25 fatal accident), 2004 (Boodarie Iron, Nelson Point and Orebody 25 fatal accidents), 2006 (Leinster fatal accident) and 2008 (Nelson Point and Yandi fatal accidents). She also acted in subsequent prosecutions and coronial inquests and in the Ministerial Inquiry into BHP Billiton Iron Ore's health and safety practices. Sarah is the ministerial appointee to the Veterinary Surgeons Board of WA.
