The Mallesons FoFA toolkit is now available. It aims to assist financial services businesses determine how the Future of Financial Advice (FoFA) reforms impact their businesses. It also contains useful reference materials.
The toolkit includes a methodology for a comprehensive review of benefits potentially banned under FoFA. We have done the hard thinking about a logical way to approach such a project and this toolkit should allow you to realise efficiencies in your FoFA project. The toolkit will help your team “hit the ground running”. It also contains the detailed checklists you will need to implement that methodology.
The toolkit is divided into a number of modules that could be used by different areas of your business (e.g. an employment module that could inform the HR aspects of your FoFA project). It also includes commentary on complicated issues such as the anti-avoidance provisions. While the toolkit is not legal advice, it contains practical tips and commentary and will help you identify issues on which you may need to seek further advice.
The FoFA Bills may be amended and there are regulations to come. We will provide updates to the toolkit until 1 July 2012 at no additional charge.
