Mallesons boosts Energy Resources & Projects practice with new hire

Mallesons has just appointed another Senior Associate to its Energy, Resources and Projects team - Annabel Griffin -  who will be based in the firm's Canberra office.

With over nine years' legal experience across Europe and South East Asia, Annabel joins Mallesons from Urenco, an international nuclear energy company with head office in the UK. Prior to that, Annabel was an Associate at Linklaters in its London and Singapore offices.
Specialising in the wider energy and projects sectors, Annabel has extensive experience of the international nuclear cycle from her years based in the UK between 2007 and 2011.
Her recent work includes: 
  • advising on a wide variety of power, project financing (including PPP) and oil and gas projects, in a number of capacities including as adviser to sponsors, financiers and governments 
  • implementation of a US $2.3 billion funding program for Urenco, accessing the European public debt markets, European Investment Bank loans, vanilla bi-lateral funding agreements with international banks, US, Japanese and European private placements (including indexed linked debt) and syndicated loan arrangements
  • advising on corporate structures and joint venture arrangements, including the establishment of PPP funds and international joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. 

Annabel will join senior lawyers Christopher Taylor and Amanda Ralph who were recently appointed to Mallesons' Energy, Resources & Projects team in Brisbane.
