Australian King & Wood Mallesons partner stands out for exceptional client service on global stage

King & Wood Mallesons partner Katrina Rathie was awarded top honour in the Intellectual Property category at the 2012 International Law Office’s Client Choice Awards which acknowledges outstanding client care and superior service.

Individual winners were selected across 55 jurisdictions and were chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments across the full spectrum of client service.  Only corporate counsel can nominate lawyers for the Client Choice Awards.

On receiving the award, Katrina said: “I am thrilled to have been selected based on feedback from my wonderful clients. In such a competitive market you can’t take any relationships for granted. I strive to exceed my clients’ expectations and work on building close, mutually beneficial and enduring relationships measured over many years. ”

Tony O’Malley, Managing Partner (Australia), said Katrina sets a great example of the firm’s approach to client service:

“As the legal market tightens, it’s more important than ever to go above and beyond when delivering for clients. At King & Wood Mallesons our focus is on being more than legally excellent. In order to be front of mind and a brand of choice we offer our clients real value through future thinking and deep industry and business insight.  It is great to see Katrina rewarded for her steadfast commitment to helping clients reach their goals.

Katrina specialises in the advertising, marketing, consumer goods, media and entertainment industries and has developed close, long-lasting relationships with clients across these sectors.

King & Wood Mallesons would also like to congratulate Peter Stirling who was also recognised, winning the M&A category. Peter will be joining the firm on 1 May.
