King & Wood Mallesons advises APA Group on its $350 million hybrid notes offer

King & Wood Mallesons has acted for APA Group (APA) on the launch of its $350 million offer of long-dated, unsecured, subordinated, cumulative notes.

The hybrid notes offer is part of APA’s ongoing capital management strategy and the proceeds are expected to be used to support APA’s ongoing investment in the growth of its infrastructure assets as well as for general corporate purposes.

The King & Wood Mallesons team was led by M&A partner David Eliakim, who was supported by senior associate Daniel Natale and solicitors Ashkan Kebriti and Hoda Nahlous.  Partner Philip Harvey and senior associate Jennifer Kuang provided assistance in relation to the financing aspects of the transaction.

David Eliakim said “APA’s hybrid offer is a further positive step in the development of a vibrant corporate bond market in Australia, expanding the range of financing options for issuers and investment opportunities for the market.”
