Mallesons Stephen Jaques has played a key role on Colonial Holding Company Limited’s $500m offer of interest bearing, subordinated, unsecured notes, advising the arrangers, bookrunners and joint lead managers.
Colonial Holding Company Limited is the holding company of the Colonial Group, a diversified wealth management and insurance group wholly-owned by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. The offer forms part of Colonial Group’s strategy to diversify its sources and types of funding and the funds raised will be used to refinance existing debt.
Mallesons acted for the arrangers and bookrunners Commonwealth Bank of Australia and a leading international investment bank. The firm also represented the joint lead managers Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Citigroup Global Markets Australia Pty Limited, Evans and Partners Pty Limited and The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, Australia Branch.
