Anthony is an energy and infrastructure specialist with deep expertise advising developers, offtakers, network businesses and regulators across electricity and gas markets.
He has advised domestic and international clients on renewable energy and electricity infrastructure projects and regulatory arrangements, including in relation to disposals and acquisitions, offtake agreements, commercial contracts, and infrastructure and asset sharing arrangements.
As part of this work, Anthony has also developed particular expertise in electricity and gas market regulation, advising clients across the sector in relation to the national electricity market and the wholesale gas market, as well as in relation to electricity transmission regulatory reforms and Victoria’s major energy infrastructure projects.
Anthony’s areas of practice include:
- Market and bespoke offtaker arrangements for large corporates, including in support of green credentials.
- Largescale procurement of metering services for gentailers from industry Metering Coordinators.
- Victorian and NSW electricity infrastructure planning reforms undertaken by VicGrid and the NSW Consumer Trustee respectively.
- Energy and infrastructure M&A, including wind, solar and BESS project acquisitions and divestments.
- Government, regulator and industry procurement processes for major electricity infrastructure projects, including the CWO REZ, Victorian REZ Development Plan and system strength services.
- Gas market reforms and gas transportation and storage arrangements for Australia’s east coast gas market.
- AEMC rule change processes for the National Electricity Rules.
