Irma is an experienced senior associate in the Employee Relations & Safety team practising exclusively in employment and workplace relations law. Irma’s practice spans a broad set of institutional clients across various industries and sectors including financial services, industry super, retail and consumer, technology, facilities management, and infrastructure.

Irma regularly advises large employers on all aspects of the employment lifecycle, from engagement to termination of employment, employment entitlements including award coverage, misconduct and performance issues, and all related disputes including claims regarding redundancy, unfair dismissal and adverse action. She also regularly advises clients on complex and sensitive workplace investigations into workplace conduct, sexual harassment and discrimination matters, and workforce restructures. Irma also regularly assists clients with drafting employment documentation including employment contracts and policies.

Irma has strong experience in:

  • Managing large and complex employment proceedings in Federal jurisdictions including particularly general protections/adverse action claims.
  • Advising on historic and prospective payroll compliance and remediation programs.
