Jack is a transactional and advisory lawyer focussing on:
- capital raisings and other capital management initiatives, including IPOs, placements, rights issues, share purchase plans, buy-backs and dividend reinvestment plans
- corporate governance and advisory work, with an emphasis on directors’ duties, employee equity arrangements, annual reporting, sustainability reporting, AGMs, continuous disclosure and other ASX Listing Rule compliance issues
- public and private M&A, including JVs and restructures
Jack has over 15 years’ experience advising a wide range of clients, from entities in the S&P/ASX 20 all the way through to smaller start-ups. He practices across many different industry sectors including telecommunications, infrastructure, gaming, technology and energy and resources, but has particularly deep experience in the financial services industry.
Jack recently spent 10 months on secondment at National Australia Bank, where he acted as the Chief Legal Officer, Corporate, Regulatory and Disputes.

- Telstra on its $42 billion corporate restructure and 'top hat' by scheme of arrangement
- NAB on its $1.4 billion sale of MLC Wealth to IOOF, its demerger of Clydesdale Bank, its acquisition of digital bank 86 400, its $3 billion placement and accompanying $1.25 billion share purchase plan, its $5.5 billion rights issue, and raising over $15 billion in regulatory capital
- Transurban on five major equity capital raisings over the last 10 years, which have raised over $15 billion in aggregate to fund the acquisitions of stakes in WestConnex, Queensland Motorways, Airportlink M7, the West Gate Tunnel Project and the minority interests in M5West
- ANZ on raising nearly $21 billion in rights issues, retail hybrid security issuances and institutional regulatory capital issuances
- Mason Stevens on its proposed IPO and subsequent $200 million sale to Adamantem Capital
- Bendigo Bank on its acquisition of RACQ Bank
- APA Group on its $875 million capital raising to help it fund the acquisition of Alinta Energy’s Pilbara business
- Lynas Rare Earths on its $932 million equity raising, comprising a placement and share purchase plan
- Lifestyle Communities on a $275 million rights issue
- QSIC on its Series B fundraising round
- me&u on its merger with Mr Yum to create Australia’s largest ordering and payments platform for the hospitality industry
- Telstra, NAB, Atlas Arteria, Viva Energy and others on the full spectrum of corporate advisory and corporate governance matters, including the introduction of Australia’s mandatory climate reporting regime
- Joint lead managers and underwriters on numerous IPOs, hybrid security offers, rights issues and placements
- W&I insurers (including AIG, VALE, TMHCC, DUAL, Fusion, Ryan and others) on numerous transactions, providing Jack with unique visibility of the Australian private M&A market
